Happy Mother’s Day!

I am greatly enjoying chilling out today with my peeps on Mother’s Day! It is so hard to pack up, leave my family and hop on a plane to go teach around the country but always once I get there, it is so rewarding. I just returned from teaching in Dallas, Texas (yes, where the swine flu almost spoiled our fun) at the famous Texas School of Professional Photography. Every time I teach, I learn something from my students. There were amazing logo discussions, name discussions, positioning and style discussions. It confirms the fact that creating a successful business isn’t something that is easy or that you can simply read in a book and follow a formula…or worse, copy someone else in your industry or market. It is something that has to have a little magic element in it to make it special. Something unique from the creator. Something that isn’t the same as everyone else. Entrepreneurship is a blast but having this special bit of something is what you need to succeed.
