This time of year I have family session after family session and after spending the past few months photographing them all, I am OUT of ideas.

I’m sure many of you feel the same way, you book a client and they all want the same thing, the perfect family portrait.

So instead of doing the same canned family photo, I decided to do some research and I came across this awesome posting guide from Laura Siebert.

It’s a printed workbook full of fun games that make your sessions shorter and make sure you get natural expressions from everyone!

Here’s how it works.

I say very seriously to the kiddo that I have a very important question.

Then, I ask  “Can you check for me and see if Daddy has any boogers in his nose?”

The child looks up sweetly at daddy while daddy laughing looks back at his child.

BINGO – I get that magical image in SECONDS!

If you need a little creative boost to get you through these holiday sessions, these workbooks are worth every penny.
