Last week I traveled to Nebraska to speak to some awesome people about the power of branding. Before I left for the trip I drove up to Chicago to find the perfect outfit! I wanted a special, unique piece that no one else had.

So I did a little research and found two amazing boutique stores that were known for their one-of-a-kind dresses and outfits.

I went to both websites and was immediately blown way by the beautiful images, layout, and branding.

But the second website blew the first website out of the water with their beautiful videos displaying the gorgeous clothes and accessories.

By the end of the video I was drooling over these gorgeous clothes!

It was a no brainer for me, that video had made the decision for me.  I had to get my outfit at that store. After going to the store and getting the perfect outfit I was thrilled!

It’s crazy to think that my mind was made up within 30 seconds of being on the website, but if you think about it, people do this all the time.

We make quick judgments, give something a chance and if we are not impressed, we go somewhere else.

As a business owner, creating videos freaks me out. It’s not something that I could pick up and perfect overnight and I am a professional photographer!

So if you are a retail owner, a realtor or professional photographer I get that you want nothing to do with video.

But the truth is there is a way to use professional images and create a video using a cool tool like Animoto.

I’ve been using Animoto in my business for years and love it!

It’s easy to use and completely customizable!  I can plug in music, graphics, and quotes and within 30 minutes I have a video!
