Check out what I discovered in my interview with Jerry Ghionis. Starting his photography career nearly 15 years ago. Ghionis continues to raise the bar and push the photography industry.  Jerry Ghionis joins 27 other speakers in our Joy to the World FREE Websummit.

Q: What do you wish you would’ve known when you started your business?

A: The power of saying no.

Q: What is one interesting fact that people don’t know about you?

A: Some may know I have 9.5 fingers. I am missing half of my left index finger.

Q: What is the best advice you have ever been given regarding your business and by whom?

A: I went to a business seminar about 7-8 years ago (I don’t remember the speaker) He asked, “Are you working in your business or on your business?” I share that with my own students to this day.

Q: If you weren’t a photographer, what would you do for a living?

A: I would be a singer. No, really…

Q: Who are some of your mentors?

A: I don’t really have any. I started my own business at an early age and had to be self-sufficient. I consider last week’s Jerry as my mentor. I always try to be better than last week.

Q: Please share anything else you think would be fascinating to help photographers market their business:

A: When you truly know how to define yourself as an individual, business person and artist then you will be able to effectively reach your target market.
