Brand Failure
A friend was at an upscale day spa enjoying multiple services. After finishing her body treatment, she was asked to grab her clothing in her hands (while wrapped in a robe) and walk thru the facility to get to the pedicure room on the other side of the building. When you go to a day spa, you expect they are going to take care of you. Pamper you. Make all of your stress go away. In this case, they failed our friend by creating stress and forcing her in an uncomfortable situation.

Studio Creative TODAY

Welcome Chief Joy Officer, Erin Verbeck
Going 100 mph. Can’t get it all done. Life is flying by. Sometimes you need to stop, step back and breathe. Balancing my small business and keeping fresh products in The Joy of Marketing while making time to enjoy my family are enough to keep an army of 100 busy. The Joy of Marketing has grown faster than I ever dreamed so it was time to bring in reinforcements. After months of planning and strategizing, I have added a Chief Joy Officer to my team to run and manage The Joy of Marketing.

Resources
Where do we get our ideas? Anywhere we can. We keep as many catalogs and magazines coming in the mail that we can. Here is a new one Glerup Revere Packaging (rgroup.com). They also own Union Bay Labels where we have purchased large runs of labels and stickers very cost effectiviely. If you notice the little round Joy sticker that comes on your packaging each month, Union Bay Label created those.

First Cafe Joy Members’ Only Teleseminar NOW in Resources Tab!
Friday’s members’ only teleseminar was fantastic. We spoke with Dan Ablan, a member who is opening his first retail studio on Monday! We had fantastic questions from our members and I also introduced our latest addition to the team, Erin Verbeck. Erin will be our new CJO, Chief Joy Officer and will be focusing on getting The Pantry stocked and rocking with goodies.

New purchase at studio
Made a new purchase for senior season at the studio. I love orange! We are painting this week and getting some fresh fabrics, etc. Hope everyone else is doing the same!

Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to all Moms! One of my hobbies is being a mail order shopper. I don’t like to shlep around the mall and impulse buy. I confess, I am a page ripper. I get several (HUGE stack during the holidays) each day. My sitters always freak out that I get so many catalogs they have never heard of. It is direct marketing at its finest. I have raised my hand and told these marketers that I like receiving things in the mail and that I will buy from them (which I do). I love it when Martha sells my name to other companies. I love when Willams Sonoma does too.

FREE TELESEMINAR FOR MEMBERS ONLY!
